Emilio Moreno, principal viola player of the 18th Century Orchestra and one of Spain's leading baroque violinists and baroque viola players, is joined by two world-class period instrument virtuosos from Japan, Natsumi Wakamatsu, baroque violinist, and Hidemi Suzuki, baroque cellist. The three virtuoso musicians continue to play a major role in the development of the world of ancient music in terms of both performance and education, performing with the 18th Century Orchestra and Orchestra Libera Classica, and training younger musicians at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. The recording as "La Real Camara" is the masterpiece "Six String Trios, Op.47" by Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805), the great 18th century composer active in Italy and Spain, who became Boccherini's new patron after the death of his patron Prince Don Luis in 1785. Among the works of Boccherini, the "King of Chamber Music" of 18th century Italy, trios for violin, viola, and cello are rare.
