Daniel Hope is an English violinist born in Durban, South Africa in 1974. He began playing the violin at the age of four and studied at the Royal College of Music with Itzhak Rashkovsky, Felix Andrijevsky, and Grigory Chislin, and at the Royal Academy of Music with Zakhar Bron. Shostakovich's works with double bassist Gary Kerr. The following year, at the invitation of Yehudi Menuhin, he performed a Bartók duo on German television. This was the beginning of a series of more than 60 collaborations with Menuhin, and she performed in his last concert. Since 2002, he has been a member of the prestigious Beaux-Arts Trio, touring with them in many countries and performing with them in their 50th anniversary concert in 2005.Although he is highly regarded in the field of contemporary music, he has also collaborated with many jazz, popular, and world music artists, and his musical activities are very diverse, including writing and performing in projects based on concepts such as the connection between music and words. This box contains all of his recordings for Warner Classics, and his recording of Berg and Britten's concerto won the British Classical Brit Award, the German Record Award, and the Echo Classics Award. in three consecutive years through 2006.
