Jean Rondeau was born in 1991 and is only 23 years old. At that age, he has already mastered the techniques of the Baroque period, which are not archaic, but psychedelic, novel, and fresh, with the same feeling as pop and rock music in the "modern" age. He already started playing the harpsichord when he was six years old and found the basso continuo fascinating. He began playing the piano much later, specializing more in jazz improvisation than classical piano. He has performed at jazz festivals. Since winning the first prize in the harpsichord section of the 2012 Bruges International Competition for Ancient Music, his reputation for great feeling has traveled throughout Europe, and he has become known as "a harpsichordist of the next generation who knows how to express his musical vision clearly in sound.
