A collection of Italian cello works played by the renowned cellist Phoebe Carai, who worked with Musica Antiqua Cologne! Phoebe Caray is a baroque cellist from Boston. She was a cellist in Reinhard Goebel's famous ensemble Musica Antiqua Köln for 10 years and has participated in many famous recordings. He has been a faculty member at the Hilversum Conservatory in the Netherlands and the Berlin University of the Arts, and currently teaches baroque cello and ancient music at the Longy School of Music and the Juilliard School in the United States, while serving as director of the Baroque Chamber Orchestra at Harvard University. Out of Italy" is set in the 18th century, when musicians moved from Italy, previously considered the "home of music," to France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, England, and other parts of Europe. It features cello sonatas and works for two cellos by Italian composers & instrumentalists who worked outside the country, from Vivaldi and Boccherini to unknown composers.A must for lovers of Italian Baroque instrumental music!
