SILVERSUN PICKUPS, an alternative rock band formed in 2003 in Los Angeles, USA. Their abbreviation is SSPU. Upon their debut in 2006 via the independent label Dangerbird Records, they were immediately hailed as "the reincarnation of THE SMASHING PUMPKINS" across the industry for the quality and musicality of their songs. They enjoy particularly high popularity in their home country. Their first album, 'CARNAVAL,' sold over 350,000 copies in the US, and their follow-up second album, 'SWOON,' debuted at #7 on the US album charts. They were also featured on soundtracks for various visual works, ranging from the American horror film "Jennifer's Body" to the Netflix drama "The Lincoln Lawyer." Nominated for Best New Artist at the 52nd Grammy Awards, they've toured with artists like FOO FIGHTERS and MUSE, and their headline shows consistently sell out. Despite their indie roots, they're a powerhouse band boasting overwhelming popularity and numerous achievements.
