Description:

Guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer Eric Krasno, who has led the US jam band scene as an original member of Soulive and Lettuce, has created a "tribute to family". The "Journeyman of Music" continues to evolve with each album, each project, and each performance, and has now completed his fourth solo album, "Always"! Eric Krasno is a guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer who has led the US jam band scene as an original member of Soulive and Lettuce. He is a "journeyman of music" who continues to evolve with each album, each project, and each performance, and recently formed the organ trio E3. With his latest album, "Always," Eric honors and celebrates his family. He had built a career as a musician and songwriter/producer with his unique instrumentation, songwriting, and guitar, but the global pandemic of the new coronavirus overturned or forced changes to much of what he had planned. During that time, he found himself thinking a lot and writing a lot of songs. Then, at the urging of Lettuce band member Adam Deitch, he decided to follow musician/producer Otis MacDonald on social networking sites. This led to the two getting to know each other and hitting it off. The collaboration on what would later become the album "Always" began spontaneously. In the beginning, all sessions were done remotely, but as the world settled down, Eric went to Hyde Street Studios, a legendary studio in the Bay Area of California, widely known for recording 2Pac, the Grateful Dead, and the Digital Underground. Street Studios, a legendary studio in the Bay Area of California widely known for recording with 2Pac, the Grateful Dead, and the Digital Underground, among others, and began recording face-to-face with Otis.Even though "90% of the album was produced online," according to Eric, the two were able to share their spirit as co-producers on this album. He also formed Eric Krasno & The Assembly at this time, consisting of Otis (B), Will Blade (Key/Org), Curtis Kelly (Dr), and James VIII (Vo/G). Their performance can be heard a step ahead of the album on the bluesy, soulful "So Cold," the first single. (1/2)
