Description:
Italian guitarist Federico Casagrante is the 2007 winner of the Gibson Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition, notable for sending Gilad Hekselman to Japan in 2013. In 2015, he released a duo album on CAM Jazz with Enrico Pieranunzi, the Italian jazz piano poet, and is one of the hottest guitarists in the world. Joe Sanders is a bassist from Wisconsin, USA, who has played with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Roy Hargrove, and others, and has also released a leader album on Criss Cross Jazz. Ziv Ravitz is one of the hottest drummers from Israel. He is a regular member of Shai Maestro's trio, and his trio with the rapidly popular tenor player Ben Wendel and Israeli bassist Haggai Cohen Milo, which visited Japan in 2016, is still fresh in our minds. On their own self-produced CD, they are joined by Avishai Cohen on trumpet and Omer Klein on piano. This album is a contemporary guitar trio.The first track, "Awakening," is an acoustic guitar solo, all arpeggios, and as the title suggests, a refreshing awakening. The second track, "Fast Forward," features electric guitar. The second track, "Fast Forward," uses an electric guitar, and its expansive tone and subtle changes in time signature give the song a unique floating feeling. The song also has a wide range of sounds, with some songs distorted to give them a rock flavor. He is a guitarist whose future career is very interesting.
