A tribute album to Alessandro Scarlatti, one of Italy's foremost masters of the Baroque era, will feature his masterpieces "Magnificat in Five Voices" and "Salve Regina," as well as his son Domenico's "Te Deum." The following arrangement, Howell's "Requiem," represents a combination of Renaissance music and 20th century polyphony, emphasizing the always exciting and fascinating dialogue between the past and the present. Performed by the Intende Voci Ensemble, an Italian choral ensemble founded by tenor Mirko Guadagnini, whose main repertoire is a capella music of the 17th and 18th centuries, and since 2018 has performed the complete Monteverdi Madrigale in Milan's Church of San Maurizio in the Church of San Maurizio in Milan since 2018.
