Elena Fischer-Dieskau was born into a musical family in Berlin (both parents are cellists) and grew up in France with her French mother, attending the Paris Conservatory as a child. He then returned to Germany to study with Vladimir Kleinev at the Hanover University of Music and Drama, and then moved to the United States to study with Leon Fleischer at the Peabody Conservatory of John Hopkins University. He has performed in major concert halls and music festivals around the world, and has appeared as a pianist in the French film "All is forgiven. He currently lives in Edinburgh, where he teaches at St. Mary's School of Music.Described by the German daily Schwabische Zeitung as "a piano wizard who combines intense drama and delicate lyricism," Elena Fischer-Dieskau's debut solo album features Robert Schumann's "Kreisleriana" with two sets of Brahms' pieces Both pieces are performed by Clara Schumann.
