Description:
In 1981, the band recorded a soundtrack work that had never been released in physical format, and in 2012, the long-awaited CD release of the work was made! Greggio e Pericoloso" is a novel written in '75 by Roberto Vacca, an engineer and science communicator, about a fictional economic and political conspiracy over the possibility of oil becoming an inexhaustible resource. In 1981, a four-episode television miniseries based on the novel was produced and broadcast by the Italian public broadcaster RAI. The band produced the soundtrack for this TV series. It was almost completely forgotten in the band's official discography, but its progressive nuances were rediscovered/re-evaluated and the data was restored and released. It is a collection of 12 instrumental tracks with two extremes of sound: energetic electric jazz-funk and cool, tense Germanic electronics, and it has an interesting and different sound compared to the two albums from the same period, "Urgentissimo" (1980) and "Buone Notizie" (1981), both from the same period. Along with other unreleased works produced by the band, it has been completely unavailable until today, but after more than 40 years, it is finally being released in physical form. This is a release that not only Italian progressive rock fans but also soundtrack/library fans should keep an eye on. Paper sleeve with 12-page booklet and liner notes by Mox Cristadoro.
