Veteran American tenor player Scott Hamilton, who recently moved to Italy and is based in Europe, has been actively recording for various labels including Stunt, Blau, and Organic Music. This is his fourth recording for the Italian high-quality sound label Fone Jazz, following "I Could Write A Book," "Who Cares? Like the previous "Bean~" with a saxophone trio, this quartet features Paolo Birro, a piano virtuoso with Bill Evans-type lyricism, and drummer Alfredo Kramer, and this time also includes bass craftsman Aldo Zunino, known for his work with Massimo Pharaoh. From familiar standards to the classic "Se Todos Fossem Iguais A Voce" by Antonio Carlos Jobim & Vinicius de Morais, this disc offers a wealth of Scott's quintessential ballad playing.
