Many world premiere recordings! The late 17th and 18th centuries were a period of rapid growth for the double reed woodwind instruments, the oboe and bassoon. Naturally, various works were written for these instruments, but only a few of them are known today. This CD features works for oboe and bassoon by 18th century Venetian composers. The sonatas by Lotti, Breschanello, and Montanari are all world premiere recordings.
