The grandiose Ysaÿe piece, which is almost like a concerto, was initially composed with a viola part added by the publisher because it was too difficult to perform. The album also includes Prokofiev's nostalgic sonata, which he composed on his way back to his native country after giving up his exile, and Manzoli's stirring suite, a world premiere. 2014 Italian recording.
