Description:
The Mannheim School launched a brilliant body of workFranz Xaver Richter was one of the important composers who founded the Mannheim School of Music. Born in Moravia, he was a violinist in Mannheim's court orchestra for more than 20 years and also worked as a bass singer. His works written during this period reveal the charm of the Mannheim style, a special brilliance that lies between Baroque and Classical music. The orchestra also includes works by Johann Stamitz, the founder of the Mannheim School of Music. The latter includes a brilliant flute concerto and an eloquent harpsichord trio. The latter is a work for obbligato harpsichord, violin, and cello, the very forerunner of the classical piano trio. King International
