All chaos began here... Slipknot, a freakishly intense musical group born in Iowa, is composed of nine deformed individuals who cover the world with ultimate chaos and insanity. Their shocking debut album "SLIPKNOT", released in 1999, symbolizes the end of the century and is the most important work in the history of metal. Includes rare and unreleased demo recordings and alternate mixes! Since their shocking debut in 1999, Slipknot has dominated the scene with their overwhelming presence. They are a true metal monster that continues to destroy the world with their intense visuals and even more astonishing heaviness. Their shocking debut album "SLIPKNOT", released in 1999, had such an impact on the world that it defined the scene from then on, and is now available in a new edition "SLIPKNOT (25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION)" to celebrate its 25th anniversary! This 25th anniversary work will be released in two forms: a 2-CD edition and a 2-CD Red & Black Mixed Analog Edition. A 6-CD analog box set, limited to 1999 sets, will also be released exclusively on their official website, but this box was sold out immediately after the information was released. SLIPKNOT (25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION)" immortalizes the creative process of these nine Iowa natives as they grew from a new metal band to a redefining force in the new generation of heavy music, a "cultural force" that transcended genres. This is a work that immortalizes their creative process at that time.The 2-CD set and 2-analog set to be released for general distribution include the original 1999 album produced by Ross Robinson, as well as rare demo recordings and alternate mixes, including previously unreleased material. It is also worth mentioning that the artwork is newly designed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release. The seven demo tracks on CD 2 of this release, including three previously unreleased tracks, are original demo material recorded before the band entered the Indigo Ranch (studio) with Ross Robinson. The songs were then further refined in the studio and released on the band's debut album, but some of the demos you hear here were also used in the final mix of the album. The band and label wanted to do a test mix before finalizing the album, so they asked two well-known mixers, Jay Baumgardner and Ulrich Wilde, to do a test mix. Four of the test mixes from that time are also included on this album as previously unreleased material.
