This is a meticulously remastered reissue of recordings by the famous Italian violinist Salvatore Accardo (1941-) from the 1960s to the 1970s. Originally a child prodigy, Accardo gave his first concert at the age of 13 and went on to win prizes at numerous international competitions, including the 1958 Paganini International Competition, which he won at the age of 17, earning him the nickname "the second coming of Paganini. Paganini was an important part of Accardo's repertoire, and in the mid-1970s he recorded six concertos under the baton of Charles Dutoit. These recordings are also known as masterpieces. This recording was made with Ernesto Boule in the 1960s and 1970s, and features the brilliant tone of Accardo, supported by his clear approach and solid technique. Naxos Japan
