Rameau's only chamber music piece, "Clavissant music with Concerts," is arranged by the renowned harpsichordist Siegbert Lampe. Works by François Coupland and Joseph-Nicolas Pancras Royer add color to the album with picturesque music reminiscent of carnival and Turkish marches, while Armand-Louis Coupland's "Anguish" is a poignant expression of baroque melancholy.
