Mahler Lieder in Organ Accompaniment EditionIn the year of Mahler's 150th birthday in 2010 and the 100th anniversary of his death in 2011, an interesting album of Mahler songs will be released. The recording features Mahler songs for solo alto voice and organ accompaniment, including "Songs for a Lost Child" and "Five Lucerne Songs," both written for voice and orchestra. The organ used is a 1909 Eskil Lundeen organ from Vasa Church in Gothenburg. The organ in Vasa Church originally had 40 registers, each arranged in three keys and pedals, and was restored by Grünlund in 2001-02, when all the original registers were reinstalled.
