American composer and industrial designer! Electronic music by Roberta Settels! Roberta Settels was an American composer and industrial designer. She studied composition at the Juilliard School and composed electronic music at EMS (Elektronmusikstudion) in Stockholm in the 1970s and 1980s. He applied to IRCAM in Paris to continue his composition studies under Pierre Boulez and especially Yanis Xenakis. He built a studio in Paris, where he lives, and composed some of the pieces on this album. Isolation" on the first disc is one such work. This memorial to Ulrike Meinhof, who co-founded the German Red Army, was arrested for numerous bank robberies and bombings, and died in prison in 1976 while on trial. It was therefore released on her own private label under the name "Music in Crisis".All of the pieces on this album were remastered using the original tapes from analog recordings in her possession, in an effort to properly preserve the character of the pieces.
