The "Escualo 5," a chamber ensemble of world-famous Piazzolla lovers, has recorded an all-Piazzolla program to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Piazzolla's birth! The ensemble is a reorganization of the original "Quinteto Tango Nuevo," with bandoneon, violin, piano, guitar, and double bass, and takes its name from Piazzolla's famous piece "Escuaro (Shark). The members come from Germany, Brazil, Greece, and Belarus. The ensemble features such virtuosos as Franz Halász on guitar, Keramidis on violin, and Kourionok on accordion. The ensemble will recreate Piazzolla's original compositions while respecting the individuality of each artist, and will invite you into a new world of Piazzolla's music with their unique arrangements.
