Three ensembles from southern Sweden perform together! Monteverdi's "Orfeo" with Linderoth, Helgren, Forsström and other splendid soloists! !SACD hybrid disc. Monteverdi composed "Orfeo," an "allegory with music" in 1607, which is considered the first opera in the true sense of the word due to its structure of five acts, the number of characters, the clear orchestral writing style, and a script based on classical mythology as well as operas of later periods, The new recording on the BIS label is the result of a collaboration between three ensembles from southern Sweden. The vocal group Ensemble Lundabarok, formed as the ensemble-in-residence for the Hall Baroque Festival, held every summer since 2012 in the town of Hall, will perform in 2016 the "Telemann, Corelli, J.S. Bach Suites and Concertos" (BIS SA-2235). They won a Swedish Grammy for Luhmann's "Music of Golovin" (BIS SA-2355).
