Famous singer Camilla Tilling sings Jugendstil - Songs from 1898-1916! Swedish soprano Camilla Tilling, who released the Richard Strauss song cycle "The Red Rose" (BIS SA-1709), the Schubert song cycle "Just by Your Side" (BIS SA-1844) and the Nordic song cycle "In the Forest" (BIS SA-2154), and German pianist The title of the album is "Jugendstil", a term derived from the German magazine "Jugend" published in 1896, and it features songs composed at the turn of the 19th century into the 20th century. The four songs from "Rustic Songs," composed by Korngold between 1911 and 1916, and "Wish Me Happiness" from "Five Songs" from 1948, which retains the style of that period, are sung by Berg, who studied with Schoenberg. The "Seven Early Songs," composed when Berg was a student of Schoenberg's, are a coexistence of late romanticism and modernism.Zemlinsky's "Waltz Songs with Tuscan Songs by Ferdinand Gregorovius," in which a folk song from Tuscany, Italy, is translated from the German by Gregorovius and sung as a waltz melody. Four Songs" reflects Schoenberg's "Jugendstil" aesthetic. Five Songs by Rückert," in which Mara's main themes as an artist and a human being are entrusted to Rückert's poems. The final piece, "I am abandoned to the world," features a violin solo based on an orchestral version of the original, which was conceived by the artists.
