Description:
A collaborative album by young Swedish masters Adrian Jones and Daniel Reed! SACD hybrid disc. The Dalarna region in central Sweden is the spiritual home of the Swedish people and a treasure trove of folk songs. This disc is a collaboration between Adrian Jones (1978-), a folk musician and composer, and Daniel Read (1977-), who met at the Academy in Stockholm. Jones was born in Leksand, overlooking Lake Siryan, in the Dalarna region. He received his master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and participated in groups such as Jallalhoon and Bowing 9. He has interacted with musicians of various genres and has broadened his activities. On the other hand, Reed was born in a small village in southeastern Sweden. He studied classical music, jazz, and all genres of music at the Royal Academy of Music and other schools before moving into the field of folk music, in which he developed an interest during his studies. Called a pioneer saxophonist in the folk music genre, he has been active as a freelance player, a member of the world music band Gorbang, and in a duo with his wife. The New Architecture is a "folk saxophone concerto in chamber music form" featuring three different saxophones (soprano, tenor, and baritone) with a string quartet.Pernilla's Polska - Waltz of the New Building, a polska dedicated to Pernilla Vilman; Troll Dance, a trolls' dance of bottomless revelry; Gungal and Finskogen's polska in new costumes, Gungal of the New Building - Migratory Bird Polska, a polska of shepherds inspired by the scenery of Lake Siryan; and Motten Hargre, a polska of shepherds inspired by the scenery of Lake Siryan. The Gungal of the New Building - Polska of Siryan, a shepherd's polska inspired by the scenery of Lake Siryan, the Interlude - Silence, a thank-you to Motten Hagström for his inspiration, and the Closing -Silence" and "Rondo" in the finale. The three-quarter time "Polska" danced with a partner, the "Pols" and "Springrek (Springlike)", a type of Polska danced in Norway and the Norwegian border region, and the "moderately gentle speed" Gangal (walking dance) in 2/4 or 6/8 time, are all rooted in the lives of the Swedish people. The dances are rooted in the daily life of the Swedish people. The song "New Architecture" is named after the Polska "Architecture", a song that was born when the fiddle player Büss-Kalle made a bet that he would write two fiddle tunes before the men finished their work, when a new church was being built in the Elbucar Review in Uppsala.
