Miguel Baselga, a native of Luxembourg, has made it his life's work to perform and study Spanish piano works. Baselga first attracted attention when he recorded the complete piano works of Falla (1876-1946) in 1996 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death (BIS-773). Subsequently, the complete piano works of Albéniz were recorded between 1998 and 2015. All nine pieces are finally available in a bargain box! Albéniz (1860-1909), a pianist and composer of Spanish folk music representative of the late Romantic period, based his style on the colorful melodies and strong dance rhythms of Spanish folk music, which is full of Spanish passion. In this collection, which he spent a great deal of time and effort on, he gives beautiful performances of all the works, which sparkle and shine like the Spanish sunlight. The Albéniz works, many of which require superb technique, are performed with great skill, and require good rhythm and a unique narrative style.The world of Albéniz can only be expressed by Baselga!
