The multi-talented Shinkowski is a violinist, composer, and countertenor singer. His latest release is a collection of technical works for violin written in the early 18th century. The works include those by such violin virtuosos as Locatelli, Tartini, and Leclerc. The works are full of lively exchanges with the orchestra, the effects of outlandish bowing, edgy rhythms and attacks, and original cadenzas. This performance demonstrates the true essence of the multi-talented Sinkowski. The orchestral ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro (The Golden Apple), which was formed in 2012, also supports Sinkowski's solos, sometimes provoking, sometimes gently, with their extremely vivid tone.
