With the exception of the last Brahms, all of the works are by composers of African descent. Nnenana Ogwu, who plays the piano, is also of African descent, and the content traces the history of works by classical composers of African descent. Samuel Coleridge-Taylor is the most famous and pioneering of the African classical composers in this group, but the influence of African music is not so much felt, but rather the various European musical trends of the late 19th century (from Chopin to Grieg). Coleridge-Taylor Parkinson had nothing to do with Samuel Coleridge Taylor and was active mainly in the field of jazz and film music. His Toccata has a touch of jazz and rock. Tobu Shoji Co.
