Mitski, the solo project of New York-based Mitski Miyawaki, recently released his fourth album "Pubertay 2" on Dead Oceans, and it is a worldwide hit! The album has been picked up by music media around the world and has received a series of high scores in various reviews, including a Pitchfork 8.5 and Best New Music! Her third album, "Belly Me Makeout Creek", released in 2014, was the catalyst for her breakthrough and is now being reissued by Dead Oceans! Taken from a line in the well-known American cartoon "The Simpsons," "Belly Me Make Out Creek" was released just after her graduation from college, and lead tracks "Townie" and "First Love / Late Spring" were huge hits. The lead tracks, "Townie" and "First Love / Late Spring," were big hits. "First Love / Late Spring" became well-known in Japan, partly because of its Japanese lyrics.This album was also the turning point when the band began performing live, and the band successfully shifted from the chic sound of the first and second albums, in which piano and acoustic guitar were prominent, to an emotional alternative rock.
