This is a collection of orchestral works by French composer-saxophonist Guillaume Saint-Jame (1967-), who is active in both jazz and classical music genres. The five movements of La Symphonie 'Bleu' (The Blue Symphony), subtitled "Symphony of the Workers," was commissioned by the French conductor Jean-Françoise Verdier and completed in 2019, The five movements are named after five different people who worked in different genres, including Charlie Chaplin, Victor Hugo, Jacques Tati, Arthur Honegger, and Fred Lippmann, as if to remind us of their achievements.
