One of the world's leading flutists, Vincent Lucas entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris at the young age of 14, graduating first in his class. After a stint with the Orchestre de la Capitole de Toulouse, he joined the Berlin Philharmonic in 1989, where he remained for six years during the Abbado era. Currently, he is a member of the elite of the French flute world as a principal player of the prestigious Orchestre de Paris in his native France. The latest work by the famous French flutist is a collection of "unaccompanied" works. Combining Telemann's "Twelve Fantasies" and Marais' "Spanish Folia," two of the finest works for unaccompanied flute in the Baroque era, he has created a profound and tasteful world of "unaccompanied flute" with Baroque music on the modern flute. Vincent Lucas uses "Muramatsu Flute," a pioneer flute maker here in Japan. We hope you will enjoy the beautiful flute sounds of Telemann and Marais, as well as Lucas's unaccompanied flute.
