The latest album from "The Red-Haired Priest" specialist Adrian Chandler and La Serenissima is a collection of violin sonatas by Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770), a master of the Italian Baroque whose works have often been compared to Vivaldi.With "The Devil's Trill," which is synonymous with Tartini, as the grand trio, the six violin sonatas, three from the "12 Violin Sonatas and Pastorales, Op. 1," published in 1734, and two from the "26 Sonatas," preserved in the manuscript of the Antoniana Library in Padua, are combined.
