The world of Theodor Szanto (1877-1934), a Hungarian pianist & composer active in the late 19th and early 20th century, featuring famous arrangements of Busoni's "Chaconne", popular chorale collections, Saint-Saens' "Overture", Myra Hess' "O Lord, Joy of Man's Desiring", etc. A full lineup of Bach transcriptions, including rare transcriptions including first recordings, are presented in a sparkling sound that makes the most of the characteristics of the modern piano.
