Anna Greta, a jazz singer-songwriter from Iceland, now living in Sweden, makes her solo debut album on the ACT label. Anna Greta's folky jazz sound, warm vocals, and excellent playing have earned her the admiration of many Scandinavian jazz greats, including SKULI SVERRISSON, who has played impressively on works by David Sylvian, Art Lindsay, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and many others. Anna's music is a Scandinavian response to Norah Jones, whom she respects. Her music has a mysterious atmosphere similar to that of Bjork and Sigur Rós, who also hail from Iceland, but with a fresh sound created by an organic ensemble that is unique to Scandinavian jazz.
