This completes the first re-recording of the complete works since 1996. Like the first collection, it is performed with Bonizzoni's harpsichord. Bach's six violin sonatas, like his works for unaccompanied violin and unaccompanied cello, are an epoch-making collection of pieces that he carefully crafted and assembled. Terakobe has performed these works as an important part of his repertoire (the Cello Suites have been recorded on Spalla), and his skilled interpretation of Bach's works, which he has deepened over time, is evident here.
