A special reunion live recording of the band's 40th anniversary show in 2023 is now available! Death Cult, later known as UK rock legends The Cult, celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2023 by reuniting with members Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, along with John Tempesta and Charlie Jones, who joined the band when they restarted The Cult. and reunited Death Cult for a special show. PARADISE LIVE" will be a 16-song live album documenting this moment of Death Cult rebirth, recorded on November 18, 2023 at the iconic Albert Hall venue in Duffy's hometown of Manchester. The beautiful artwork features the iconic image of a butterfly floating in black on black, designed by Ian Astbury and re-imagined by Carter O' Sullivan from Beggars' art department.The centerpiece of the live session for this album was the cult single "Resurrection Joe" from 1982, which was the highlight of the show. The same year, Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy teamed up to form Death Cult, their only self-titled album. This musical partnership lasted for over 40 years, changing its name to The Cult in 1984 and releasing "Dreamtime" that same year. Since then, they have continued to produce a number of masterpieces, including their second album, Love, as well as their signature fourth, Sonic Temple, and the gold disc certified Ceremony.
