They’ve produced era-defining anthems such as “The Only One I Know,” “North Country Boy,” and “One to Another.” Released to celebrate their landmark 1990 debut album *Some Friendly*, this collection features 20 tracks in total, including the original album’s songs plus bonus tracks specially curated by Tim Burgess for this release. Frank Arkwright has handled the latest remastering at Abbey Road Studios. The Charlatans formed in 1988 and released their debut single, “Indian Rope,” in early 1990. Shortly thereafter, they began recording *Some Friendly* with producer Chris Nagle. The lead single, “The Only One I Know,” was their first hit, reaching the UK Top 10, and remains one of their signature songs to this day. In addition to their rare ability to fully surrender themselves to the groove, it is their outstanding talent for songwriting that has led them to success. This has allowed them to continue performing despite tragedy and shifts in musical style, establishing them as one of the UK’s premier bands that has endured through the ages. Their body of work—modern enough to be played in clubs yet possessing a timeless universality—continues to evolve to this day.
