While the previous two studio albums delved into darker territory and delved into electric guitar in terms of sound, this album is written entirely on acoustic guitar, bringing the songs to life with a gorgeous, yet unpretentious simplicity. Produced by Mario Caldato JR. who also produced "In Between Dreams," Jack's biggest hit to date. (Ben Harper also guested on this album!). ) The album is a return to his roots with an acoustic sound that is unmistakably Jack's. The lead track, "I Got It," is a great example of Jack's unique style. The lead track, "I Got You," is a classic that will be a favorite of Jack's for a long time to come. Most recently, Jack performed at the popular U.S. festival "Bonnaroo" to great acclaim as a substitute for Mumford & Sons, who had originally headlined the festival but cancelled their performance. The majority of the songs for this album were written on Jack's front porch in Hawaii, and recorded at his studio by the ocean while he took a break from swimming and surfing at sunset.It depicts Jack's daily life on Hawaii's North Shore, an irreplaceable place for him as a father of three children, but it is a story of his own that he cannot help but relate to, as it connects with a place that is dear to everyone's heart.
