Special edition of "Revolver" [4LP + 7" single], released on August 5, 1966, which spent 7 weeks at #1 on the UK album charts and in the US, Capitol released an 11-track version that spent 6 weeks at #1 on the Billboard album charts. Super Deluxe]. The 14 songs on "Revolver" have been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. And the album's original mono mixes were taken from the 1966 mono master tapes. The luxury booklet accompanying the Super Deluxe includes a foreword by Paul McCartney, an introduction by Giles Martin, a heartfelt and enlightening essay by Questlove, insightful chapters by Beatles researcher/author/radio producer Kevin Howlett, and chapters and detailed song titles by Beatles scholar/author/radio producer Kevin Howlett.The booklet also contains rare and previously unpublished photographs, handwritten lyrics, tape boxes, never-before-seen images of recording notes, and excerpts from a 1966 advertisement and Foreman's graphic novel "birth of an icon: REVOLVER".
