AMAROK, a Polish melodic and progressive rock band led by Michal Wojtas, a multi-instrumentalist from Poland, released their new album in 2012. This is a limited 2-LP analog set on "Pearl Marble" colored vinyl. Recorded in band format with Michal's partner Marta Wojtas (vo/perc) and supporting members Kornel Poplawski (b) and Konrad Zielinski (drs), as on the previous album "HERO". The band's sound is an imaginative one that evokes the listener's imagination, featuring ethno-oriented melodic rock under the influence of Floyd/Camel, coated with electronic/ambient synth sounds, and characterized by a cinematic expanse similar to that of the soundtracks and Kscope's work. The imaginative sound that evokes the listener's imagination is also featured on this album.The band's heavy live sound is pushed to the forefront, with new innovations not often seen in their previous music, such as "Hope Is", which features a low-prog-metal guitar sound and sampled drum'n'bass, but ultimately culminates in an emotional climax with a Polish romanticism. The composition of the songs and the album is brilliant, and the way the songs and the album are structured culminates in a moving climax with a romanticism that is uniquely Polish.
