Description:

A celebration of rare piano works! Husum Castle Music Festival Live 2024! The "Husum Castle Music Festival" (Rare Piano Music Festival) was founded in 1987 in Husum, a port town in Schleswig-Holstein (Sleswi-Holstein), a former Danish territory in northern Germany, and is held every summer. The series, which was born from the idea of Peter Frohunjan, was initially called too bold and reckless, but has gained strong support from audiences from various countries over the years. The "Knight's Room" has a maximum capacity of 130 people. The 38th edition in 2024 features music by 14 composers from Finland, Russia, France, Ukraine, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Particular attention was paid to the grouping and order of the pieces on this compilation to create a cohesive musical experience. Severin von Eckerstein (b.1978), who plays Hannikainen and Metonel, is a German pianist who was third in the 2000 Leeds International Competition.Italy's Alfonso Soldano (b.1986) continues in 2023. Christian Grovlen (b.1990) was born in Bergen, Norway, and studied with Izzy Hlinka and Håvard Gimse. Matthias Kirschnerite (b.1962) of Germany is a professor at the Rostock University of Music and Drama. He received the "ECHO Klassik" award for his album of restored and completed Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto in E minor. Patrick Emerle (b.1981) from France has a wide repertoire, and along with Bach and Beethoven, he has featured in concert the lesser-known music of Novák, Frank Martin, and Maurice Emmanuel. Clare Hammond (b.1985) is a British pianist who received the Royal Philharmonic Society's Young Artist Award in 2016 and has gained attention for her recordings of composers such as Hélène de Montgeroux and Josef Myslivecek. Wong Si-yan (b.1988) was born in Hong Kong. Based in Berlin, his repertoire ranges from the early Baroque to the 21st century, especially works inspired by the past.Gottlieb Wallisch (b.1978) is an Austrian pianist. Saskia Giorgini (b.1985), of Italian-Dutch descent, won the 2016 Salzburg International Mozart Competition. He is highly acclaimed for his recordings of Liszt's "Poetic and Religious Studies" and "Consolation," among others. All are unedited live recordings. Tokyo M-Plus
