Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel's third album from 1975, "THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES," which reached #4 in the UK, is being reissued on 180 gram vinyl with a bonus disc to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the album's release! The album features a wide range of musical styles from pop to progressive rock, as well as witty lyrics and melodies full of British sentiment. Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel blossomed in the UK at the height of the glam rock era. It was their biggest hit album, reaching #4 on the UK Albums Chart, and included the #1 UK hit "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)" and the UK Top 20 hit "Mr. Raffles (Man It Was Mean)". LP1 features the original album with Alan Parsons as co-producer.The soundtrack was remastered from the original production masters for the "Definitive Edition" release of the album in 2014. The bonus disc, LP2, includes a rough mix of "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)," an acoustic version of "Another Journey," which was only released as a B-side to the single, and the title track, "The Best Years of Our Lives. and an acoustic version of the title track "The Best Years of Our Lives," as well as a full-length live version of "Sebastian," which originally appeared on the B-side of the "Mr. Raffles (Man It Was Mean)" single and was recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in April 1975. Two live tracks are included. The analog version will be available in 180 gram weight vinyl, on blue and orange colored vinyl.
