Description:
London-based instrumental band releases their latest EP "Mt. Sava" on Technicolour, following the release of their Yuhu EP "Alma's Cove"! The band is a hot new band, following in the footsteps of Kruambing and Glassbeams! The world's most popular instrumental band, Uffe, is on Technicolour, a label affiliated with Ninja Tune. They have been gaining attention for their one-of-a-kind sound that combines influences from all over the world, and their latest EP, "Mt. Sava," is a sign of the current direction of Ninja Tune, which has recently produced Glass Beams, a band that has gained popularity for its mysterious music that combines East and West. The follow-up to the EP "Alma's Cove" released in early 2025, this album is, as the band themselves describe it, "a spiritual sister work," shifting the stage from the serene seaside setting of the previous album to include six songs that depict natural soundscapes and quiet reflection on the scale of a majestic mountain desert. The preceding single, "Mesa Mesa," is a tribute to the spectacular Table Mountain in the desert, with influences ranging from Mdou Moctar to Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, and without sacrificing the fantastic sound of the past, a heavier sound is The EP "Mt. Sava" is the first release from the band. The EP "Mt. Sava" further expands the vast landscape through all six tracks. The opening track, "Moon Dive," meditatively depicts a quiet moment as dawn approaches, offering listeners a space for rest and reflection. Meanwhile, "Night Air" expresses the pulsation of the desert at night, inspired by the changes in temperature and humidity unique to mountainous regions. The band states, "In a mountainous desert environment, the changes in temperature and humidity between day and night are felt more strongly." Orken Bloom," which means desert in Danish, is a dynamic and fast track that mirrors the sunrise. And "Calima" depicts a moment of serenity, inspired by the winds that carry the sands of the Sahara across the continent.
