AIR is a French duo that has gained popularity for their stylish retro-futuristic electro sound, and now JB Dunckel (Jean-Benoît Dunckel) of AIR has signed a new contract with Warner Classics. AIR's JB Dunckel has signed a new contract with Warner Classics and has completed a new project. The album "PARANORMAL MUSICALITY" will be released next January. It is a piano album by Jean-Benoît Dunkel.In addition to his work with AIR, which includes music for Sofia Coppola's first film "Virgin Suicides," as well as releasing his own works, Dunkel has also worked as a solo artist, composing music for the film "The Summer of Sangail? Dunkel has released three albums, "Darkel", "H+", and "Carbon". His latest release, "PARANORMAL MUSICALITY," is a work in which he plays the piano, an instrument he has been familiar with since childhood. In this album of 18 solo piano pieces, Dunkel presents free and delicate, yet bold piano improvisations. Inspired by the richness of the natural world and his own accumulated AIR and solo work, these compositions are at times contemplative, at others particularly nostalgic, and at others melancholic. The floating, atmospheric arrangements and sometimes shimmering melodies are the essence of Dunkel's work.With this album, which can be called a collaboration with the "piano" that has always been with him, Dunkel breaks new musical ground that he has never reached before.
