Notable pianist ARUHI (Ayaka Hara) recorded Tavener's "PALINTROPOS" for the first time in the world on her first album! She has performed internationally in England and France, and in July 2020, she appeared on the TV program "Happy! This amazing score, composed in 1978, has not been commercially recorded for over 41 years, and is the world premiere recording of Tavener's "Palintropos". Composed in 1978, this remarkable score has not been commercially recorded for over 41 years, and this world premiere recording will provide an excellent opportunity to discover one of John Tavener's early masterpieces. Described by Tavener himself as "the only work of mine that comes close to a Debussy-style tone poem" and "the most impressionistic work I have written," ARUHI plays a wide variety of genres in this dynamic work that repeats itself with exhilaratingly rough piano, beautifully lyrical arabesques, and more. ARUHI, who plays a wide variety of genres, performs the piece with his talented and brilliant pianism. On the coupling, Michael Stewart (b.1958), a composer, pianist, and writer who studied composition with John Tavener at Trinity College of Music in London, and founder of the A Flock Ascending label, composed a work in memory of John Tavener in 2020.
