Helen Trobel, the "Metropolitan Diva," and German soprano Sarah Trobel, niece and grandson of the great conductor Günter Wandt, will perform a concept album "From the Deep End" with Trobel and Andreas Scholl. She has invited Andreas Scholl, the famous countertenor, to present an album based on the concept of "From the Deep End". Known as "from the depths," Psalm 130 is one of the most famous passages in the Old Testament, expressing human suffering and the hope for God's mercy. It is also reflected in the poetry of Baudelaire, Gheorghe, and Trakl, and is used by Schoenberg and Berg. The beautiful voices of these two composers provide a rich experience of a world that has been a light motif in music for three centuries, from the Baroque to Expressionism to the present day.
