Young Martucci's talented collection of piano pieces A collection of Martucci's early works. All of the pieces on this album were composed in 1876. The young Martucci drew inspiration from Schumann and Brahms, and the pieces feature narrative structures, extended sonata forms, and rich yet disciplined harmonies.In this rarely recorded piano sonata, Martucci's lyrical voice is renewed by a Liszt-like finale that blends Griegian spontaneity with a chorale, fugue, and rondo. This is the debut recording of Ilaria Sinicropi, who is so enthusiastic about the performance that she wrote her own detailed commentary. The binding is in digipak format, and the insert booklet (12 pages, in English) includes a commentary by Sinicropi on the performance.Made in the EU, the discs are manufactured by Optimal Media of Germany, a well-known major label.
