Having released their 24th studio album in May 2025, they remain a band that is both a “legend” and “still active,” continuing to perform energetically even after several lineup changes since their 1968 debut. A new addition has now joined the lineup of deluxe reissue editions of the many masterpieces they have released! This release features deluxe editions focused on two albums known as the most daring and ambitious works by frontman Ian Anderson: *UNDERWRAPS*, released under the Jethro Tull name in 1984, and *WALKING INTO LIGHT*, Ian Anderson’s first solo album released in 1983. The collection is titled *UNDERWRAPS: THE UNWRAPPED EDITION*. These two albums hold a particularly significant place within Ian Anderson’s vast discography, capturing a crucial turning point in his career as he shifted from the Jethro Tull sound established through his earlier work toward a more modern sound. Already recognized as one of the most innovative songwriters of his generation, Ian Anderson had been actively utilizing cutting-edge technology since the 1980s, such as incorporating synthesizers and drum machines into his sound. Released amidst this trend, these two albums demonstrated his remarkable adaptability to the ever-evolving music scene by radically transforming his musical style away from his traditional folk roots.
