Having led the British neo-progressive rock scene since the 1980s, they released their seventh studio album, *BRAVE*, in 1994. Widely regarded as a landmark work of 1990s British rock and hailed as their masterpiece, *BRAVE* is now being reissued as a stunning 2-disc picture disc vinyl set. ◆Released in February 1994, *BRAVE* is the band’s seventh studio album and their third since the arrival of second-generation vocalist Steve Hogarth. Based on a real-life incident in which a girl suffering from amnesia was rescued on the Severn Bridge—a large suspension bridge spanning the M4 motorway in the UK—this dark and expansive concept album garnered high praise, particularly for its style that cut to the heart of the darkness in contemporary Britain. This bold, two-CD epic—a long lyrical poem—received enthusiastic support from fans here in Japan, leading the band to perform their second Japan tour in July 1994. Although more than 30 years have passed since the release of *BRAVE*, vocalist Steve Hogarth commented, “It feels like it’s slowly gaining traction… Some things take time to become legendary, but I think *BRAVE* is worthy of that title,” noting that understanding and appreciation for this work have steadily grown and continue to spread as the years go by. ◆This new 2-disc picture disc vinyl set features the Steven Wilson remixes originally included on CD1 of the album’s Deluxe Edition, released in 2018.
