The Strapps were formed in 1975 by Australian singer/guitarist Ross Stagg, bassist Joe Reed, keyboardist Noel Scott, and drummer Mick Underwood, who played in Ritchie Blackmore's Outlaws and Quartermouth in the 1960s and early 1970s and later played in Ian Gillan's Gillan, Strapps, a British hard rock band formed in 1975 by Mick Underwood, Australian singer/guitarist Ross Stagg, bassist Joe Reid, and keyboardist Noel Scott, has released a 4-CD box set containing four studio albums and unreleased live material from Hear No Evil Records, an affiliate of Cherry Red. Hear No Evil Records, an affiliate of Cherry Red. The set includes the first album "Strapps" released on Harvest Records in 1976, the second album "Secret Damage" produced by Chris Kinsey in 1977, and the third album "Prison" produced by Pip Williams of Status Quo in 1978, which was released only in Japan. The package includes their 3rd album "Prisoner Of Your Love" from 1978, produced by Pip Williams of Status Quo, and their 4th album "Ball Of Fire" from 1979, also released exclusively in Japan.Also included is a live recording and another mix from the Rainbow Theatre, London, 1977.
