This 2CD complete recording of the Leeds, England cult mod/psych-pop band Outer Limits includes the rare and popular pop-soul singles "When The Work Is Through" and "Just One More Chance", the freakbeat number "Help Me Please", the psychedelic pop "Great Train Robbery", and all of their material from 1965-68, as well as a compilation of all the material they recorded between 1965 and 1968. Help Me Please" and the psych-pop "Great Train Robbery," plus 14 previously unreleased demos compiled by core member Jeff Christie, who later had a hit with the band Christie. The album includes "When The Work Is Through," which appeared on a Leeds Students Charity Rag flexi-disc in 1965, "Just One More Chance," which was released on Deram in 1967, and "The Rolling Stones," which was released in 1968 by the Rolling Stones' manager, Andrew In addition to the three singles, "Great Train Robbery," recorded for the Immediate label, which was headed by Loog Oldham, the collection unearths recordings made around the same time.The band gained popularity playing legendary venues such as the Cavern in Liverpool, Club a Go-Go in Newcastle, and Mojo in Sheffield. Unfortunately, they never had the opportunity to record an album, but the recordings here give a sense of their potential to leap ahead of their time. The booklet includes an interview with Jeff Christie.
