Description:

A modern version of "Schubertiade" by the world's top players Karl-Heinz Schütz, one of the most renowned flutists of our time and principal of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, has released a long-awaited new recording of a joint album with world-renowned guitarist Daisuke Suzuki, focusing on Schubert. The elite of the Vienna Philharmonic gathers for Schubert's quartets, while the Sonatine by Castelnuovo-Tedesco features a cross-fertilization and virtuosity between flute and guitar. The performance of the Schubert Lieder in the flute-and-guitar arranged version by Schütz and Suzuki is captivating, the result a fitting rendition of Schubert's sentiments. <Karl-Heinz Schütz (flute) Born in Innsbruck.
